Indoor Short Track Racing

The Edmonton Motorcycle Show has provided an opportunity for Edmonton riders to do some indoor racing!
The track will be an oval around the Freestyle jumping area roughly the size of a hockey area.

Clubs welcome:
· Alberta Old Timers
· EMRA
· CVMG
· Second Gear Club
· Alberta Mini Road Race
· Alberta Motards
· Vintage MX Alberta
· Alberta Flat Track

Proposed Format:
· For the adults here will be four groups over the 3 days as noted on the schedule below
· Each group has two ride times which will provide the opportunity to ride 4 to 6 heats
· Youth and 50cc will likely be less riders so an opportunity to ride every show
· Gather up 12 interested riders and at least 6 bikes and form a group

6:00pm Freestyle Show

Sunday Jan 14th
10:15am FT Racing Group 4
12:00pm Freestyle Show
12:45pm FT Racing Group 4
2:00pm Freestyle Show

Classes:
1) Pro – Flat Track Canada Champions
2) 230cc and under 4 stroke big wheel, 250 and 450 MX bikes – 16 years and older
3) 110cc and under pit bike – 16 years and older
4) 110 cc youth – 15 and under
5) 50cc – youngster under 10

Equipment:
· MX boot, road race, or equivalent
· Snell 2010 Hemet
· Goggles or face shield
· MX pants with hip pads or full race leathers
· Elbow protection
· Chest protectors
· Gloves – suggest with knuckle protection

Just a heads up, It is on smooth concrete.
I suggest street tires... They make smooth street tires that fit 21/19 or 18 rear dirt bikes...
You could probably use knobbys, but yeah...

how do we sign up? FYI I have a bunch of mini road racing bike, a couple of spare 12" motard rims for KTM SX65's I could bring

Just an update, the surface will be smooth concrete. Should provide nice slide, then once rubber is laid down will have good grip.
So far we have Torin Collins, Myself, Justin Knapik, Cedric Ducap, Maxim Ducap, Tosh Gable any others?
