rule book states snell 2005, and my suomy that i bought last year has no sticker stating that its new last year so i dont know why it dosent , neither does my agv that i use for mini road racing? should i be writting to the companies? or just buying a new helmet

Have you looked under the comfort padding inside the helmet? In my experience Snell rated helmets have a serialized sticker inside that includes the year of the Snell specification that it meets (not the same as manufacturing date).

Suomy and AGV may be ECE (Economic Commission for Europe) rated and not snell. So on the outside back near the bottom you should be looking for ECE 22.05. This certification is recognized as well as the snell as the standard in the rulebook.

the only marking i can find is a date tag, and a e3 tag on the inside
