RFID tag longevity

    How long do RFID tags last? Will mine from last year still be good?

    It shoud be. I have had a couple for 2 years.

    Mine have been functioning since we first got the system, so at least a couple years.

    I asked Chris from Zoomius this question.

    He indicated that 7 years ago they placed RFID tags on some helmets and then placed them out in a desert location where they continue to see the full gammit of weather. These tags are retested every month and to date they are still working.

    I prefer to smash mine off before they see that much time in the sun.
