The best person for this type of work is Joe Skidd out of Ontario. I know it is not in Alberta, but his credentials and know how are worth the $50-$60 you will have to spend in shipping. Joe has worked for the Blackfoot as their suspension tech for both roadrace and MX since the teams inception and before that he worked for Ohlins direct on the GP circuit for 16 years.
He has a great understanding of both MX and road so I'm sure he will be able to make this shock work for a motard application. He has a quick turn around time as long as parts are available, probably the best in the bussiness. Give him a call first and tell him Clint McBain told you he's the suspension god.
