Gearing

Hello,

I'm new to this track and have a k8 GSX-R600.

I currently have gearing for Gimli; so, 15T up front and 45T out back.

Will I have issues and should I switch to something larger at the back?

Hi Michael

I am not a 600 racer, or gearing authority; however the SV650 I race came from Gimli, if anything it is geared low for my liking, if the straights at Castrol were any longer it would be geared too low. Those running the 600s may be of more help.

If your 08 takes 06 sprockets, I have many GSX rear sprockets I bring to the track, you could try out or buy if needed.

You here for a good time, as in just to race a round, or a long time?

Castrol general rule for 600 is -1/+1 if your expert and -1/+2 if your intermediate
