Correct me if I'm wrong regarding Bingos and Casinos, but they are based under a strict set of rules (been many a year since ive held a board position). Alberta Gaming is very stringent on how gambling money can be used, primarily for minor (18 & under) events and promotions. That's why you see a lot of junior hockey and soccer clubs hosting them (parents working them).
Promotion is tough. It seems as though our stands are usually friends and family of racers. Prime advertising to the general public costs $$. That is something we could bring up at the AGM - to see IF the club is willing to pay.
