Hi everyone, I am making this post to hopefully help the race weekend go smoother for everyone as there have been a number of changes since round 1! PLEASE READ!!!!

Don't forget to PRE-REGISTER! It is fast and easy online. Log in as usual to https://trackintel.com/ti/emra/index.html . If you do not have a log on email Ian Wall at [email protected] and request a login.

There will be NO credit card or debit card payment at the track. If you do not pay online please bring cash or cheque to the track for payment. Last round there were a number of technical issues with online credit card payment. If you pay online with credit card and wish to confirm the payment has actually gone through please confirm via email with Todd Yakimoski [email protected].

If you are just getting started with racing or returning to racing with the EMRA there have been a few changes to the rules and tech this year, so give the 2015 rule book and 2015 tech sheet a quick read, changes from last year to the rule book are highlighted in yellow.

Tech Sheet

NEW for this weekend, there will be a 'pre-tech' set up during the friday evening track attack. Feel free to bring your bike and gear to the track friday evening for a 'pre-tech' inspection. You will be given a blank tech sheet, all the items on the sheet will be checked off during the inspection as normal. Saturday morning once you get through registration and get your tech sheet with your numbers and races on it go to tech with your 'pre-tech' sheet, have both tech sheets checked over then collect your tech sticker(s). In order to assist track officials and scoring please ensure your race numbers are visible. If your numbers have been deemed difficult to read by race officials you will be asked to modify them in order to make them clear. Please remember to sign ALL the appropriate waivers at registration.

NEW for this weekend, when you arrive at the track please proceed to the EMRA gate. Be mindful of other riders and their pit areas and traffic through the pits. Please be aware that we will be sharing the Castrol Raceway facility with a large number of drag racers, the pit area is limited so we all need to share. The EMRA will have the same pit area as last round. HOWEVER, ALL 4 wheel vehicles that are not your trailer tow vehicle must be parked in the parking lot at the entrance of Castrol Raceway, yes it is far and yes you will have to walk. Your TOW vehicles may continue to park along to pit return roads. Vehicle parking concerns have been brought to the attention of the EMRA by Castrol management, construction of pit area and more parking is continuing at the track. Lets all do our part and park our vehicles in an appropriate area. This will help further the relationship between the EMRA and Castrol Management.

There will be a tech tent set up and tech will open at 8am and closed at 8:30am for riders meeting. If you will not be able to have your bike ready for tech by then please find and make arrangements with Dana Draper (Chief technical inspector). Please make sure you bring your bike (lowers removed) and all your gear you plan to race with to tech for inspection. Registration and tech will work as quickly as possible to get everybody out on the track. Tech is not there to bust chops and keep you off the track. It is a second set of eyes to help you ensure that your gear and bike have done the minimum that the EMRA racing community, believes will help make racing a safer experience for everybody.

If you plan on riding make sure you attend the riders meeting. It is 100% mandatory and will take place at 8:30am Saturday and Sunday. During this time a corner worker/ volunteer meeting will also take place. As a racer please remember that the race day volunteers are there to help you have fun and without them the racing just wouldn't happen.

NEW for this weekend, the bus stop has been paved and will be set up for us to use and race on. Please keep this change to the track in mind when you head out on the track.

NEW for this weekend, practice groups will be assigned as fallows:
Riders who's fastest lap times in a race from last round qualify for

Group 4: 1:24.9 and faster.

Group 3: 1:25.0 -1:27.9

Group 2: 1:28 -up

Group 1: all novice riders

NEW for this weekend, in order to provide an alternative view of the track for spectators, we will be testing a standing room viewing area. This area will be using the EMRA flat deck air fence trailer for spectators to stand on and view the west end of the track. Please be cautious in this area as it will be between the drag and road course return roads.

Please check out our track side vendors, Empire Tyres and Freight Train Racing will be track side with tires, supplies and services ready to help you get out on the track and go faster. Ben Yakimoski will also be set up for swapping tires.

Last but not least, BIG thanks you to Argyll Motorsports for stepping up and being the title sponsor for the second round.
