Had a great weekend up in Fort Saskatchewan/Edmonton. Met lots of new people(being this was my first EMRA event), brief rain shower on sunday afternoon made for some fun pictures with the wet track, and all in all I'm happy with the results.

Thanks all of you for your hospitality...was nice to meet the edmonton photographer contingent

Looks like that clown on the red and white R1 needs to learn to keep both tires on the ground! Maybe something with less horsepower would help...

Not the guy with the 40D, but I was the guy with the 20D and 70-200 2.8 at the tower overlooking turn one. Were you using an extender on the lens?

ah, when it started to storm I was wondering how long you would stick it out up there with the lightning :p

yes, I have a nikon 1.7 TC, I use it a LOT here in calgary, but found I didn't need the reach quite as often in edmonton. it's a great little toy. Actually for the double header round in calgary I have the Nikon 300mm 2.8 rented, so with the 1.7 I'm out at 500mm plus the crop factor. I rented it a couple weeks back for fun, it's an amazing lens.
